Our community is blessed with many amenities for families and children: two pools, parks, trails, tennis and basketball courts, community center, senior activity center, dog parks, and of course, the many community programs and events for all ages. These are great assets, but do you know what our biggest asset is? It’s YOU, our Anderson Mill residents!
When residents come together to work for the common good of our community great things happen for all who live here. The purpose of the Anderson Mill Neighborhood Association (AMNA) is to improve the quality of life in our neighborhood in matters such as land use, environmental protection, public services and consumer protection, and to organize activities that will promote a greater sense of community. We are NOT an HOA.
Do you see the Neighborhood Watch signs around the neighborhood? That’s AMNA! Working to improve safety for people and property by participating in the Neighborhood Watch Program, a vital resource for our community. We work closely with APD to provide education to neighbors wishing to organize a neighborhood watch.
Did your block have a National Night Out Party in the last few years? That’s AMNA! Get to know your neighbors, by hosting a National Night Out Party. We have the resources to help you reach and organize your neighborhood party.
AMNA partners with the AMLD on their community events, such as Spring Festival at Harper Park by providing volunteers and financial support for certain events which are free and open to all residents and their families.
If you or your neighbor are not members of AMNA, please consider joining. A strong Neighborhood Association has power to benefit our community and mold it into something we all cherish and feel proud of. Let’s get to know each other!
Click on the “AMNA Membership Application” tab and print the application. Dues are $10.00 a year per household or business and may be paid via check, payable to Anderson Mill Neighborhood Association OR AMNA. Mail completed application and check too: Anderson Mill Neighborhood Association, P.O. Box 170594, Austin, Texas, 78717.
